BOOKS BOUGHT
* a whole bunch of chapter books and activity books for Sophie, and a couple of geography history books for my dad

NOTES
I'm trying not to buy books - or at least, not to buy too many books - these days. Besides the fact that I obviously need to save money, my TBR stack is getting out of control. I could fill two whole bookshelves with them, probably - the same Billy bookcases with 6-7 rows that I keep now. Except that my TBR titles aren't on the shelves, but stacked on other surfaces right now.

Anyway, I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to save money and not buying as many books. For July, I did spend a lot of books, but they're all for my niece and my dad. I did splurge on the new D&D Starter Set, though, so it wasn't like I didn't buy anything from the store for myself :p

I started reading Yowamushi Pedal online because WT recommended the anime to me. I watched the first season, died from the cliffhanger ending, and immediately looked for the manga. And I LOVE it. WT's recs can never go wrong; he's an EXCELLENT merchandiser (even if he isn't doing Comics, which is such a pity). I was planning to buy the books the next time I'm in Japan, but I can't wait to read the next volume(s), and Kinokuniya only have up to volume 19, so I ordered the next three volumes on CD Japan, and am now waiting.

I've also been re-reading Cassandra Clare, and read the second cycle of the Mortal Instruments, which I'll be posting flail-y rants about sometime this month, I'm sure.
